Hi! And welcome to Jack's! Once upon a time, not all that long ago, an American expat living in Germany likened
Window on the World (WoW) Message Board to a friendly living room where friends congregate at all times of the day and night,
similar to the coffee house on "Friends." Ever since, we've fondly referred to WoW as "Jack's Living Room." .
"Jack's" is a cozy place, constantly undergoing renovations, as we add on rooms and build special corners for various
things like reading and watching movies or listening to music or playing board games.
There's always a pot of coffee on and always a pot of tea. Conversation jumps from world issues to things of the
heart and back again in the time that it takes to post a message. There is always someone around with whom one can contemplate
life, share insights, and enjoy a laugh.
We are teachers ... educating one another on local and world issues from our unique perspectives, and like all good
teachers, we are constantly striving to learn more.

We come to Jack's from countries all over the world ... Austria, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway,
and the United States ... just to name a few.
We are ambassadors, in a sense, sharing our diverse philosophies and celebrating our differences as much as our similarities.
We are respectful of one another, and welcoming to strangers, who are really just friends we've not yet come to know.
